Oracle Ports

Anyone know what Ports Oracle uses on Linux?  On AIX I know it uses 1525
and or 1521.  Is it the same on Linux?
Also I got sun's jre from their website so that i'd have a jre to install
oracle, but the jre for sun's is called java and doesn't work with oracle,
anyone know of a good jre?
