Web add/drop: Vast majority of add/drops in 7- to 10-second range, down
from 20-25 seconds in Nov/Dec. 

They wanted to freeze activity when they put in the new code.  Fair
enough.

I dont know what the heck they mean by how many trans they can do
though... They dont seem to be too worried about throwing 500+ users at a
time more onto the system.

The consultants they hired said that their sql was inneficient and that
some application code was very slow, whereas the databases are ready to
fly.

Hrm.
