cheap networking hardware

Hi,

I'm hoping to get a two-PC home network going. I'd like to find a couple
of linux-friendly network adapters for <$15/ea. Also a hub for <$30. I can
scam cabling.

10 Mbps is more than enough; I just want to mess around with networking in
linux.

Please reply off-list if you have any leads for this type of stuff.  I
don't want to clutter the list any more than I already have.
