I installed OS/2 once from floppies. Does that count? ;-)

Anyway, this reminds me that there were some neat tricks for
Macintoshes, as they have motorized ejection of floppies. You could get
a device that would hold a stack of 20 or so disks, start your install,
and this device would feed all the disks through automatically -- you
would just come back sometime later and find the job done.

But I hate floppies. I have always had terrible luck with bad sectors
and what-not.. There were times when I threatened to use my 2400 bps
modem to transfer files from my computer to my dad's, since I knew that
the modem wouldn't screw things up...but I don't think I ever actually
ended up doing that (I'd just dig through a box of floppies 'til I found
one that worked.)
