they'd be fine, if a) the pages fit on a screen, at less than
1280x1024 resolution and b) had a browser that made navigation as easy as it
is in netscrape or the like.
I remember reading some scientific .ps docs on a Sparc 5, years ago;
and it wasn't bad. not a bad use of the technology at all (tho I still would
have preferred HTML or even plain text). still, it was acceptable because
the Sparc had a big screen and plenty of processing power.

I had an icon on my web page (before the school realized that I
haven't gone to school there for years, and removed my account); that said
"No Scary Audio [on this page]".
personally, I miss the days of Gopher and telnetting to MUDs. when
"the Internet" meant e-mail and telnet.
then again, I'm the backwards sort of person who thinks that most of
the increases in computing power since the 386; have done little more than
let people browse porn faster. ;>

it's great for documents that are intended to be printed out on
8.5"x11" paper. (we all know what HTML looks like when printed.)
other than that; it's a hindrance.

because animals generally haven't done anything to bother/hurt me.
humans, on the other hand, are far more deserving of my displeasure. ;>
