That's not just Slack, Debian doesn't have them, either. However, the header
of Debian's hosts.allow says to look under hosts_access(5) and
hosts_options(5), so you may want to check those.
The syntax suggested earlier is valid, though - I'm currently using the line
leafnode: x.x.x.0/255.255.255.0 127.0.0.1
on my LAN's news server, and it works fine.
