I also dislike $Log$ with a vengence.  Anyway, it is an issue of personal
preference as long as the changes are documented somewhere.  I tend to
check in huge amounts of changes all at once, so I add a manual ChangeLog
entry and enter "Changes by Ahn, see ChangeLog for details" as the CVS
commit log entry.  Afterall, 40 lines of ChangeLog about LTD stats don't
have anything to do with a function prototype fix in socket.c, but CVS
will append the entire ChangeLog to all files being committed, relevant
or otherwise.
