Do you have GTE customers?

The MAXi uses Bearer Service to discriminate between Data Bearer and
Voice Bearer on the same incoming Directory Number. This assumes
that all VBS calls are for the modem, and denies DOVBS to those
folks who want it.

In Califunny, that seems to mean GTE customers.

To provide DOVBS, you need a Multiple Subscriber Number, i.e. a 2nd
phone number. Such is usually cheap or free depending on your
tariffs.
