Re: (ASCEND) MAX 4004 and 7.0.4
We are downgrading as well. Some v.90 users were not affected by this software
level and were getting very good data rates. Other v.90 users could only get
26400bps data rates. A hand full of v.90 users could not connect whatsoever!
Ascend technical support worked today with us to resolve this issue. They had
us dail into their MAX running 7.0.4 and we could only get 26400bps. They
verified this with their own modem. Then, they configured their MAX with 7.0.3
which allowed v.90 connections. What's strange about this is that both 7.0.3
and 7.0.4 use the same Rockwell code, 2.098. Anyway, it's broken...don't load
it.
