Interesting.... I captured original screen w/ Procomm after DUNS gave various errors (and beeps) trying to connect; Now with things working 'normally', if I go on w/ Procomm it enters PPP automatically:

Also - seems either telco or some firmware update is causing intermittent poor connections (I usually get 48-49.3k):

Disconnect Reason is XID Timeout

And, while on-line, will sometimes lose the connection without the modem losing it - no more DNS available, but the modem is still connected and diags indicate no errors. Am I wrong to suspect some sort of DoS attack? On 3/25 it happened immediately after BlackIce reported an ICMP unreachable storm, http://advice.networkice.com/advice/Intrusions/2000104/ - although on all other occassions, I see nothing unusual (but a similar attack could have been made to a different port on the TNT?).
