That happened to me when I put in a second hard disk for linux.  When I
first put it in, in the CMOS setup I set the device type (not mode, which
was LBA) to user, and specified the info. LILO gave me non-terminating
0101.  After reinstalling everything several times to no avail, I changed
the CMOS setting to auto, and everthing worked.

If what the other people said doesn't work, I hope this does.


As an aside, anybody interested in free ram should go to best buy.
There's bin of 32mb pc100 dimms from PNY technologies for 30 bucks each,
and there's a $30 mailin rebate.  The rebate thing says "NO limit per
person, household, family, or address"
I bought all of them (in Duluth).

Oh, I'm the guy that _accidently_ spammed the list a while ago...  I'm
_really_ sorry about that.
