(note: contray to popular belief, I do not work for m1. I just know that
cable has a larger part to do with consumer end internet than many people
are willing to believe.)

Two things. I think White Bear Lake is two-way or will be soon two way.
North and east subarbs have allreaday made the jump to the new broadband
services.

Forgot about this. M1 tech dudes seem to not care about what the hell you
hook it up to. They seem to hook it up to anything they want to at home.
I would give them a talk and say: hey, im running something else, all I
need is for you to come in and hook it up.. Ill setup the internet
settings, and the we can do the "tests" together.

It seems that it works ok that way. I got a m1 tech happy enough to
install to a Windows NT server enterprise edition that way. :)

Otherwise, when the two way docsis modems come out in stores for self
install you can just do it yourself.

If not, youve got to have something running 95 laying around. Or throw in
a really old mac. :P

Oh, And I would be scared putting DSL in the arden hills area. Since the
new AM radio hurts (R)ADSL bandwidth issue. Dont those towers over there
transmit oodles of AM signal?
