Yes.

Personally, I like Slackware - however ...

Debian 2.2 (yet to be released), SUSE 6.4, then lastly Slackware 7.0 (and
you need to customize it).

As opposed to what?  As far as Linux -vs- Windows goes with the same
services - No.
