Re: [TCLUG:11239] Appletalk

I like redhat in some cases, but not as a server. It may be because I'm
a crusty old slackware lover and that's all of the linux I know and
love...regardless, I think redhat is great for all of the non-computer
expert people that want to try linux. The installation was smooth and
easy every time I've done it, and the RPM's (while I don't like package
management in any case) make things easier for the unacquainted. I'd
rather shove a redhat CD in my little brother's hands and let him worry
about it, then have to spend hours with him installing slackware (or
Solaris x86...ewww).

This is a perfect case in point, incidentally. I have a problem with
open-source software, I post a message and get a solution within
minutes. Now I'm having problems with my commercial web application
server from big blue, and where are they? They haven't responded
yet...there online support site is useless, and their newsgroups are
dead.

Thanks again, everyone, for all of the help. It is appreciated.
